2020 – A Vision Was Born
It all started with a personal struggle. Our President, Angel Cardenas, was living the harsh reality of being overweight. His health, his family, and his life were at risk. After undergoing bariatric surgery, he learned firsthand the challenges of obesity in the U.S. This experience sparked his vision to help thousands of people suffering as he once did.
2021 – UMG Enters the Market
One year later, Angel joined forces with several partners, driven by love and a mission to provide accessible, affordable solutions. Together, they built a comprehensive system to reduce the high costs of surgery. UMG officially launched, participating in events and welcoming its first patients.
2023 – Becoming a Leader
By 2023, Universal Medical Group had established itself as a global leader in bariatric surgery. We hosted international medical forums, made advancements in obesity treatment, and expanded our global network, solidifying our position as innovators and leaders in the field.
